How we use AI
Archived article texts are kept as they appeared historically. We strip out old navigation bars, ads, and broken widgets, but the words stay the same.
AI is used to draft new evergreen guides and to organize site structure. It helps us write clearly and consistently across dozens of topics.
AI does not rewrite old posts. It does not invent news events, fabricate quotes, or generate fake statistics.
Every new guide is reviewed by a human editor before it goes live. We check for accuracy, tone, and whether the piece actually helps someone understand local government better.
We do not use AI to impersonate councillors, simulate interviews, or create synthetic "expert commentary." If we quote someone, that person said it.
The technology is a drafting tool, not a replacement for editorial judgment. We remain responsible for every word on this site.
If a piece of content is unclear, wrong, or unhelpful, that is our fault. Let us know and we will fix it.
